We've Awarded This Year's Final Fellowship
Congratulations to Dr. Sandro Luna, who will use his fellowship grant to develop an application that measures healthcare data from mobile device videos
We are excited to announce that we have awarded an O’Shaughnessy Fellowship to Dr. Sandro Luna, a health tech founder based in the USA.
Dr. Sandro is a physician, founder, and health technology researcher who graduated from the M.D. / MBA program at Columbia University and the human biology honors program at Stanford University.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Sandro has developed non-invasive posture correction software, led multiple research trials in artificial intelligence and telehealth, and produced international films on health and wellness.
He is driven to build health technology that prevents people from becoming patients in the first place.
As the founder and CEO of Maiv Health Inc., Dr. Sandro will use his $100,000 fellowship grant to continue developing an application that enables anyone to measure clinically important data such as heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation using only their smartphone or mobile device. No sensors or other hardware will be required.
Here’s Jim: “Enabling easily accessible, video-based collection of health information would represent a paradigm shift in healthcare delivery. We’re delighted to be able to support Sandro with his development of this remarkable application.”
More about Dr. Sandro can be found on his LinkedIn page. For more information on Maiv Health Inc., sign up at maivhealth.com.
It’s Not Over…
With Dr. Sandro completing our line-up, we’ve now announced all twelve O’Shaughnessy Fellowships for 2023. You can find more information about each Fellow here.
To those of you who applied: please don’t be disheartened. The Fellowships will be reopening on 1 January 2024 next year, and, in the meantime, we plan to create and share more opportunities for collaboration in the OSV Community on Discord.
We were all blown away by the quality of the applications we received this year. In fact, we were so impressed that we decided to expedite the launch of a new initiative that we’d originally slated for next year.
Next week, we will be announcing FIVE recipients of the inaugural O’Shaughnessy Grants. This initiative will help enable even more talented individuals to access OSV’s network and make their dreams a reality.
We’ll share more information on the O’Shaughnessy Grants next week. Stay tuned!
Congrats! 🎉
