O'Shaughnessy Fellow Jan Jedryszek has cofounded Biotic, a public-benefit nonprofit working to ensure that all people and the planet benefit from world‑leading biotechnologies.
Biotic launches alongside SpudCell, a cell built from scratch out of non-living chemicals that can grow, copy its DNA, and divide. SpudCell was created by fellow Biotic cofounder Kate Adamala and her team at the University of Minnesota. The breakthrough was featured by The New York Times this week.
