Infinite Loops has always had a tinkering mindset and we love experimenting with cool new ideas and let them surprise us.

Back in December 2021, we sold an NFT for 9 ETH (~ $35,000 USD back then) and donated the proceeds to “Ambulanta pentru Monumente”—an NGO that aims to save heritage-listed buildings in Romania with the help of volunteers, craftsmen, and local communities.

We also promised that the auction winner will be invited to our podcast and the winner, Dinesh, instead forwarded this reward by nominating another guest—an extraordinary person who was flying mostly under the radar: Dr. David Rhoiney.

1/ Our team at @InfiniteL88ps wanted to experiment with the NFT marketplace in order to get a better understanding of how it worked and see if the online auction pace was similar to what we see offline. We commissioned the artist @cernicageanina to produce the artwork 👇🏻

The concept of “White Mirror” was inspired from a tweet by Kyle Ayers and is quite easy to understand if you’ve seen or heard about the Netflix series “Black Mirror”.

Rules of the game

• Submission deadline: Fri, July 22, 2022 23:59:59

• Write a detailed plot. A single tweet prompt will likely not fetch you a thousand dollars, but we might feature it on our newsletter :)

• Write the plot as a Twitter thread and add it as a reply to the original challenge tweet linked above.

That’s about it. This challenge got birthed mostly in the spur of the moment so there aren’t a lot of rules and guidelines attached.

@ShannonL_Miller What a lot of people don't understand is that an idea has no value. Everybody has ideas. I could talk to a 7 year old about script ideas for 15 minutes and they'd come up with some good ones. The execution is the work that has value and 99.9% of people cannot do it.

So be the 0.01%, and send us your proof of work. All the best!
