This is really exciting. Since a small boy, when I found a book on Herculaneum in a used book store and bought it for $2.00 I have been thinking about this. It was printed about 1900. It had beautiful gold letters on the outside, coloured endpapers, and some black and white pictures. My father read it to me - I was captivated by the story - and I remember asking him if they would ever be able to read the burnt scrolls.....
